The Energy certificate also gives recommendations to improve efficiency and by that the score; this will increase the sale value. Possible improvements are thermal and acoustic insulation, use of renewable energy, installation of solar panels, etc.

The orientation of the property determines the impact of the sun. This influences its energy consumption and attractiveness in general; and therefore the sale value. A property with a southwest location will be better valued than one that has a north orientation, since it will have many more hours of sun and natural light.
